Luminosity

GH

We are extremely excited to announce the arrival of our new seagrass lampshades into our lighting department.

Perfect for creating ambience, warmth or a little drama, these handmade and bespoke paper shades come in a range of colours, shapes and sizes. The natural tones and textures of the shades create atmosphere and mood, and when partnered with our favourite character pottery table lamps as shown here, they really tell a story.

The shades are a great addition to our existing selection of stunning string lampshades, such as this one shown here complementing our French, hand carved, free form olive wood table lamp.

We also have a large assortment of characterful floor lamps to help you achieve ultimate luminosity; from midcentury classics like our pleated, lace onion shaped lamp, to our new, wave shaped parchment floor lamp with stitched detailing.

Come into the showroom to view our wide range of lampshades and character lighting, or check out the 'New' section of our website for inspiration.

For this display shoot we spotlight our collection of natural and raw lamps in the style of French designer Louis Sognot- including a recent addition- the very charming Small French rattan and cane table lamp.

We work hard to keep our collection up to date by researching trends and seeking inspiration from a variety of platforms.

In January 2022, the Granger Hertzog Stock Team visited the 'Noguchi' exhibition at London's Barbican.

The Japanese American artist Isamu Noguchi (1904 – 1988) is famous for his delicate ‘Akari’ sculptures (akari meaning light in Japanese). Each piece is constructed from just paper, bamboo, metal and electrics - ‘…encompassing both illumination and weightlessness’* and epitomising luminosity.

Isamu championed accessible artwork for everyone and visualised his sculptures being appreciated in the homes of the general public - after all, who doesn't love a bit of mood lighting?
