Modern Seventies

GH, 2023

Our new Modern Seventies collection showcases the best of the 1970s - the combination of warm, earthy tones, mixed metals, statement lighting and curved seating in sumptuous fabrics - but brings them into a contemporary setting.

The vibrant oranges of our padded velvet armchair and vintage glass lamp demonstrate a playful use of colour classic to the 1970s. Combine with a shagpile rug and a large room divider like our new black shelving units shown here to complete the Modern Seventies look.

Oversized, statement furniture made with mixed metals or lacquered wood are key elements of 1970s interiors. We love the soft, rounded shape of our low-slung, Italian tan leather modular sofa alongside our chrome Merrow side tables and perspex and brass bookcases featured here.

BIBA was an iconic brand during 1970s Britain. We've partnered our boucle pretzel rattan armchair with the Art-Deco inspired shapes of our rattan screens, the warm, earthy tones of our velvet, chevron coffee table and a textured, luminous lampshade to embody this signature style.

Our brand new, pistachio green armchairs are a modern take on seventies space age seating. We've paired them with our brass Tom Dixon coffee table and multi square gold metal screens which typify the glamorous, geometric designs of David Hicks.
